Redmi Watch Price in India
The Redmi Watch in India is priced at Rs.3,999. It will be sold in three case colours i.e., Black, Blue and Ivory and four attractive strap colour options i.e., Black, Blue, Ivory and Olive. Xiaomi has featured a square dial for the Redmi Watch which is very much common among smartwatches available in this price range. The body of the Redmi Watch is manufactured of plastic and is absolutely tightly sealed which makes it water-resistant up to 5ATM of water pressure. The LCD screen is of dimensions 1.4 inches and diagonally has 2.5D curved glass on it. The case sides of the smartwatch are flattened with only one multi-function button on the right side.
On the underside of the body of the smartwatch, the heart rate sensor along with charging pins is present. The watch strap is made of TPU material and has an oval buckle. It’s pre-curved which makes it easy to wear and carry the watch. The strap’s width is 20mm and these can be changed as per the user’s choice, but there is a little trouble here. Xiaomi has opted for a proprietary connector design which limits the strap options to ones made specifically for this device. The Redmi Watch features a charging point that has pins that match the contact points towards the bottom of the smartwatch. This charger has an attached cable with a USB Type-A port. The Xiaomi watch comes with a 230mAh battery capacity inside which it claims offering up to 10 days of battery life.
Coming to the software, the Redmi Watch runs on RTOS and can be allowed to be paired with an Android or iOS smartphone. The user will need to download the Xiaomi Wear or Xiaomi Wear Lite app on the devices. The app will allow you to track steps, sleep, and heart rate. It also includes eleven type of workout modes on the Redmi Watch. Sadly, it does not include SpO2 tracking sensor, which is available on its competitor, the Amazfit Bip U. The Redmi Watch features an inbuilt GPS and GLONASS support, which will allow you to track your outdoor workouts without needing a smartphone to point the location. Other sensors on the Redmi Watch are the compass and a barometer sensor.
An interesting feature addition in the Redmi Watch is guided meditation, which guides you while you are performing breathing exercises. The UI on the Redmi Watch is very easy and convenient to use and all the features can be accessed by pressing the multi-function button on the right side of the watch when on the home screen. The Redmi Watch will also notify you of any incoming calls or message notifications on the paired phone.
The Redmi Watch happens to include all the basic features when it comes to fitness tracking. In the provided current global situation, an SpO2 sensor will prove to be a valuable addition. At the price point of Rs. 3,999, the Redmi Watch is an affordable wear to dive into the smartwatch segment. However, it is not the cheapest smartwatch in the market at this price point, while the Realme Watch is offering more features at a lower price point. If you are a person who choses aesthetics or wish to own a super affordable smartwatch that works with on a iPhone, then the Redmi Watch makes sense. Otherwise, the Realme Watch is a better pick.
